Carbon steel welded pipes consist mostly of iron, carbon, and trace elements such as manganese, silicon, and sulfur. The carbon content usually is between 0.12% and 2.0%, which is used to improve strength and hardness. Mechanical features include tensile strength (up to 550 MPa), yield strength (up to 250 MPa), and good elongation (up to 20%). These pipes provide perfect corrosion resistance and hence are used for many industrial applications.
