Carbon Steel A671 GR CC 70 Pipes are fabricated using electric-fusion-welded plates of carbon steel, which contain usually up to 0.30% Carbon, 1.00% Manganese, 0.035% Phosphorus, and 0.035% Sulfur. These pipes have good mechanical properties, such as a minimum yield strength of 240 MPa and a tensile strength of 415 MPa. Their physical properties are high weldability, toughness and corrosion resistance. With a melting point ranging from 1425–1540°C, these pipes are used for high-pressure and high-temperature service and are applicable to demanding industrial processes.
