Carbon Steel BS 3059-2 pipes consist mainly of iron with carbon ranging from 0.16% to 0.30%, and manganese up to 1.20%, silicon, and traces of sulfur and phosphorus. These pipes have very good mechanical properties such as tensile strength of 410–570 MPa, minimum yield strength of 235 MPa, and elongation of 20% or higher, depending on the grade. Engineered to withstand high pressures, they ensure good weldability, thermal insulation, and wear resistance. They are best used in boiler and heat exchanger systems and assure consistent performance under harsh industrial conditions.
