Copper Nickel Tube is mostly made up of copper and nickel in 90/10 (90% Cu, 10% Ni) or 70/30 (70% Cu, 30% Ni) proportions, with minor additions of manganese and iron to improve strength and corrosion resistance. The composition provides great protection against seawater corrosion, erosion, and biofouling. Mechanically, Copper Nickel Tubing possesses tensile strength ranging about 310–500 MPa and a yield strength around 100–200 MPa based on alloy grade. It is also fairly ductile and tough, supporting mechanical stability through a broad variety of temperatures, making it the perfect choice for pressure and heat transfer systems.
