Stainless Steel 416HT Pipes are heat-treated forms of SS 416, which is a martensitic stainless steel with high machinability and fair corrosion resistance. The content contains iron, chromium (12–14%), sulfur (to improve machinability), and carbon (up to 0.15%), along with minor quantities of manganese, phosphorus, and silicon. HT (heat treatment) enhances mechanical properties and hardness, providing tensile strength up to 760 MPa and yield strength of approximately 450 MPa. These pipes show good wear resistance, thermal stability, and average corrosion resistance and are thus apt for parts where strength, machinability, and dimensional stability at elevated temperatures are needed.
