Stainless Steel 410S is a low-carbon, non-hardening martensitic stainless steel with a primary composition of iron, chromium (11.5–13.5%), and trace amounts of carbon (max 0.08%), manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. The composition provides improved oxidation resistance with good mechanical properties. SS 410S Pipes provide a tensile strength of around 450 MPa and yield strength of around 205 MPa, with good elongation and impact resistance. These pipes have high thermal stability, fair corrosion resistance, and better weldability than other martensitic grades, and are hence applicable for structural and thermal service in elevated temperature conditions.
