Stainless Steel 305 Pipes are an austenitic stainless steel alloy that consists mainly of 17–19% chromium and 10.5–13% nickel, with low carbon content (max 0.12%) and added nickel for better cold workability. The composition improves corrosion resistance with excellent drawing and forming properties. Mechanically, SS 305 has a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of approximately 40%. These pipes are magnetic in the as-rolled condition but become non-magnetic after annealing. They have good strength, toughness, and ductility and are suitable for cold-formed parts and light to moderate mechanical loads.
