Stainless Steel 316H Pipes are an austenitic stainless steel that has higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) than the regular 316, providing it with increased high-temperature strength. Chromium (16–18%), nickel (10–14%), and molybdenum (2–3%) present in the alloy give it excellent resistance against corrosion, especially against chlorides and reducing acids. SS 316H provides a tensile strength of about 515–620 MPa and a yield strength of about 205–310 MPa with good ductility and creep resistance. These characteristics make 316H appropriate for pressure vessels, boiler parts, and high-temperature structural use in corrosive or severe heat conditions.
