Upon examination, Stainless Steel 348H Tubing proves to be an austenitic stainless steel alloy consisting mainly of chromium (17–20%), nickel (9–13%), and stabilization niobium along with added carbon for improved high-temperature strength. It provides superior resistance to intergranular corrosion and holds structural strength at high temperatures. It has a tensile strength of approximately 585 MPa, a yield strength of 240 MPa, and an elongation of about 35%. These mechanical and chemical properties render it suitable for high-temperature applications while providing durability, weldability, and oxidation resistance under thermal cycling and stress conditions.
