Stainless Steel 310 Tubing is an austenitic stainless steel alloy that contains 24–26% chromium, 19–22% nickel, and up to 0.25% maximum carbon. The proportion provides great resistance against oxidation, carburization, and corrosion at high temperatures. The tubing has good mechanical properties with tensile strength of about 520 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. SS 310 also possesses sufficient toughness and ductility at higher temperatures. These characteristics render it very appropriate for applications in thermal cycling conditions and exposures to high heat and oxidizing environments.
