321 Stainless Steel Tubing is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with a titanium stabilization to avoid carbide precipitation upon welding. It contains 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and a minimum of five times the percentage of carbon in titanium. This stabilization enhances its intergranular corrosion resistance in high-temperature usage. SS 321 tubing possesses superior mechanical properties, such as tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of approximately 40%. It possesses good strength and toughness even at high temperatures, which makes it suitable for continuous operation up to 900°C.
