Stainless Steel 202 Tube is an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese alloy with about 17–19% chromium, 4–6% nickel, and 7.5–10% manganese. It also contains up to 0.15% carbon and traces of silicon and nitrogen. The lower nickel content makes it more cost-effective without any loss of strength and moderate corrosion resistance. SS 202 tube has tensile strength of about 515–860 MPa and yield strength of about 275 MPa. It provides adequate toughness, formability, and weldability, so it can be used in fabrication operations while also performing adequately in moderately corrosive and mechanical conditions.
