Titanium Gr 10 Pipes contain commercially pure titanium alloyed with traces of palladium (commonly 0.12%–0.25%), providing greater resistance to corrosion in harsh reducing environments. The commercial purity base composition is similar to that of Grade 2, but the addition of palladium dramatically improves its resistance to crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Titanium Gr 10 provides tensile strength of about 344 MPa (50,000 psi), yield strength of about 275 MPa (40,000 psi), and good ductility with an elongation of about 20%. It has excellent weldability and formability and thus is ideal for demanding industrial uses.
