Aluminium 6083 Pipes are produced from an aluminium alloy that contains approximately 97.5% aluminium, alloyed with magnesium (0.7–1.3%), silicon (0.4–1.0%), and small amounts of manganese and chromium. The composition of the alloy provides the alloy with superior corrosion resistance and high structural strength. The pipes may be heat-treated to obtain tensile strengths of 250–340 MPa and yield strengths of 150–240 MPa, depending on the temper. Aluminium 6083 has good weldability and moderate machinability, which makes it ideal for load-bearing and structural applications. Its mechanical profile positions it as a strong and versatile material for challenging environments.
