Aluminium 6063 Tubing is an aluminium-silicon-magnesium alloy containing mainly aluminium (around 97.5%), along with silicon (0.2–0.6%) and magnesium (0.45–0.9%) as principal alloying constituents. The alloy provides satisfactory corrosion resistance, good anodizing response, and fair strength. The typical tensile strength of the alloy is 145–240 MPa and yield strength is 110–190 MPa, based on the temper (T5, T6). Aluminium 6063 has a high surface finish, excellent weldability, and better extrudability, which makes it particularly ideal for aesthetically challenging uses such as decorative architectural features and frames.
