Aluminium 5082 Tubing belongs to the 5000 series aluminum-magnesium alloys, which consist mainly of aluminum (more than 92%) and magnesium (4.0–4.9%), with minor contents of manganese, iron, and silicon. The tubing has good strength-to-weight ratio, with a common tensile strength of 270–350 MPa and yield strength of about 200 MPa. It is also resistant to good elongation and formability and can be weldable and fabricatable.
