Aluminium 1100 Pipes contain a minimum of 99.0% pure aluminium and are one of the most ductile and softest available aluminium alloys. The high purity results in a high degree of corrosion resistance, good electrical and thermal conductivity, and good formability. The mechanical properties of Aluminium 1100 Pipes involve a tensile strength of approximately 90–130 MPa and a yield strength of about 30–95 MPa based on the temper. Although not ideal for high-strength purposes, Aluminium 1100 Pipes are well suited for forming, welding, and drawing operations. Their non-heat-treatable character is compensated by excellent resistance to oxidation as well as chemical environments.
