Stainless Steel 310 and 310S EFW Pipes are chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels with 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel. SS 310 has increased carbon content (up to 0.25%), whereas SS 310S contains lower carbon content (up to a maximum of 0.08%) to optimize weldability and reduce carbide precipitation. These pipes have very good mechanical properties like tensile strength of about 520 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. Their structure permits excellent resistance to oxidation, thermal fatigue, and high-temperature corrosion and thus are best suited for harsh industrial processes.
