Their usual composition is 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and traces of columbium/tantalum, with 347H having higher carbon (0.04–0.10%) for greater creep strength. These grades have good mechanical properties such as tensile strength of around 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of around 40%. Electropolishing the finish enhances corrosion resistance, product buildup reduction, and smooth flow, thus these pipes are perfect for sanitary and high-temperature conditions.
