Stainless Steel 316H Electropolished Pipes are a high-carbon variant of SS 316, with 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and 0.04–0.10% carbon content. The higher carbon enhances high-temperature strength and creep resistance, making it ideal for high-temperature applications. The pipes generally provide tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of approximately 40%. The electropolishing finish improves the surface smoothness, cleanliness, and corrosion resistance, and hence they are particularly well-suited to hygienic and high-purity systems where strength is needed as much as aesthetics.
