Stainless Steel 321 and 321H Electropolished Pipes are titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steels with superior resistance to intergranular corrosion. SS 321 generally contains 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and titanium for carbide stabilization, whereas SS 321H contains more carbon (0.04–0.10%) for better high-temperature strength. These pipes have a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of approximately 40%. Electropolishing increases corrosion resistance, smoothness, and cleanliness and makes the pipes suitable for severe applications. Both grades exhibit very good mechanical properties under high stress and elevated temperature.
