Stainless Steel 317 and 317L Welded Pipes are molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steels with greater chromium (18–20%) and nickel (11–15%) composition than 316, and 3–4% molybdenum for increased corrosion resistance. 317L is the low-carbon grade, with improved weldability and intergranular corrosion resistance. These grades have tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and elongation of 35% or higher. Their mechanical strength along with superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion makes them suitable for harsh chemical and marine environments demanding high reliability and durability.

Stainless Steel 317 and 317L Welded Pipes are widely utilized in industries where superior corrosion resistance and mechanical strength are essential.
