Hastelloy coil tube consists mainly of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum with a minute amount of iron, tungsten, and cobalt that is very resistant to corrosion, particularly in corrosive acids. High molybdenum makes it very resistant to crevice corrosion and pitting corrosion. Mechanical strength includes high tensile strength ranging from 50,000 to 120,000 psi and excellent ductility and the capacity to operate under severe temperature and pressure conditions.
