Duplex Steel Instrumentation Tubing is made up of a well-balanced combination of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel, generally weighing 21–23% chromium, 4.5–6.5% nickel, and 2.5–3.5% molybdenum. Due to this special combination, it possesses greater resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It possesses good mechanical properties with a very high yield strength of about 620–850 MPa and yield strength of around 450 MPa, along with superior fatigue strength and good weldability. These properties make Duplex Steel Tubing extremely suitable for high-pressure applications, showcasing excellent durability and resistance to corrosive environments, especially in marine and chemical processing industries.
