The Duplex Steel Coil Tubing consists of around 22% chromium, 5–6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and nitrogen, which provides better strength and resistance to corrosion. The mechanical characteristics involve tensile strength of 620–880 MPa, yield strength approximately 450 MPa, and great elongation of 25%. Physically, it has a density of 7.8 g/cm³ and melting point of around 1350°C. The tube also has good thermal conductivity and stress corrosion cracking resistance and hence can be applied in high-pressure environments of applications in the oil & gas, chemical, and power generation industries.
