Stainless Steel 904L Seamless Tubing is a low-carbon, high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with nickel (23–28%), chromium (19–23%), and molybdenum (4–5%) and copper (1–2%) additions. The specialty chemical composition enhances its resistance towards severe reducing acids and stress corrosion cracking. At the mechanical front, it is endowed with approximately 490 MPa tensile strength, a yield strength of about 220 MPa, and very high elongation at 35% and above. These attributes contribute to 904L tubing becoming suitable for severe pressure environments while providing long-lasting reliability and operation even in unfavorable chemical and seawater environments.
