904L Seamless Stainless Steel Pipes consist of low carbon with high levels of nickel (23–28%) and chromium (19–23%), and molybdenum (4–5%) and traces of copper (1–2%). The composition is excellent for corrosion resistance, particularly in acidic and chloride environments. The tensile strength of the pipes is approximately 490 MPa and the yield strength is 220 MPa. They possess good toughness and elongation, along with very good stress corrosion cracking resistance and crevice corrosion resistance. Their high strength and mechanical stability allow them to be used both for high pressure and high temperatures.
