Stainless Steel 316H Heat Exchanger Tubing is a high-carbon version of 316 stainless steel, specifically designed for applications at high temperatures. It contains 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and 0.04–0.10% carbon, which increases creep resistance and high-temperature strength. These tubes have mechanical properties like a tensile strength of 515–585 MPa, yield strength of approximately 205–240 MPa, and elongation of about 35–40%. The extra molybdenum enhances pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, making these tubes appropriate for corrosive and high-stress environments where thermal efficiency and strength are both needed.
