Monel Boiler Tubing consists mainly of about 63% nickel and 28–34% copper, with trace amounts of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. This nickel-copper alloy provides excellent corrosion resistance, especially in high-temperature and acidic conditions. Monel tubes are mechanically very strong (about 550–620 MPa tensile strength), have good yield strength, and are very flexible and tough. These tubes retain their mechanical properties under harsh thermal cycling and pressure conditions. They also have great stress corrosion cracking and pitting resistance, which makes them very durable and reliable to use in aggressive industrial processes such as boiler systems.
